BEST WEEK SO FAR!! - Week One Done - (Episode 3)
We started our mission in Guam for two primary reasons:
- We don't have our visas for Japan yet; and
- There was a Mission Leaders Seminar there that allowed us to begin the handoff of responsibilities.
The Hiltons have been serving in Tokyo for the past 2 1/2 years and we are very grateful for them and all they have done. We have so much to learn!!
Most of the day we were in this room....with this group of amazing people
It isn't every day that you get to see a submarine sailing on the open sea!
During the scheduled Culture Day we went with a group to snorkel. On the way we crossed paths with this submarine, and we had dolphins surfing in our wake.
In the mornings we have been able to get out for a walk along the beach. Each time we go right after sunrise we have seen this "little" friend by our hotel. A snail as big as Sherri's Hand!
On Friday afternoon we were able to get out for an afternoon walk on the beach with two other couples. What a gorgeous island this is! We are so thankful that we have been able to experience this special garden God created and marvel at His goodness and artistry.
Participating in the Mission Leaders Seminar and experiencing first hand the glories of God's creations has been an amazing way to start our mission. We have seen God's hand in the details of our life together, in the inspired leadership of His Kingdom in this part of the World, and in His work in this part of His vineyard.
We feel loved by Him and His Son Jesus Christ. We witness of their reality and their divinity, and feel true joy to be in Their service.
