TO INFINITY AND BEYOND (Episode 2)



THANKSGIVING DAY

On this Thanksgiving Day I awaken to a world in which we have no car, have no home, have only what we can carry in two suitcases each, have just enough food for the next meal - and YET - the first thing we felt this morning was gratitude for the ABUNDANCE in our lives.

Homeless, no means of transportation, and limited clothes and food the day before traveling to Guam for our mission we feel like we are at the pinnacle of ABUNDANCE.

As I close my eyes and contemplate talking with my Heavenly Father on this Thanksgiving Day my mind is open to the ABUNDANCE of His love in our life-

Each Other - 3 years ago Heavenly Father was involved in the details of our coming together.  We both know that through Him we have found an ABUNDANT love in this life that, paraphrasing Moses, "...which thing [we] never had supposed".

Goodly Parents - Our Heavenly Parents saw fit that we both were born into homes ABUNDANT with love, lots of children, and learning of God and this world.

Children - While 10 children is many the goodness of each and every one, when combined, creates an unimaginable ABUNDANT love that feels to be without limits.

Mission - On the eve of beginning our service in the Asia North Area, starting in Guam, we bask in the ABUNDANCE of Heavenly Father's love that is reflected in this life long dream we have both had individually that we can now fulfill together.

Grandchildren - With the 28th expected in March the numbers grow one by one, while the ABUNDANT love we feel for our family exponentially expands past numbers - "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND" - (20 Sherri points if you know the reference)

      It is official!         The First Presidency announced May 22nd as the date for the dedication of the Yigo Guam Temple.    It will be the smallest temple in the church, but oh what a blessing it will be for the people of Guam and Micronesia!!     President and Sister Lopez will be the President and Matron of the temple.  Small world note: They are coming from the 17th Ward in Salt Lake, which is the ward our Zions Summit condo is in. We finally got a picture of us in front of the temple a couple of weeks ago.  We are so excited!  The amount of work that the temple start up team is doing is incredible.  Everything will need to be ready to go by May 4th when the Open House begins.  Rod and Lori Boss are on the Open House Committee so I am sure it will end up being spectacular. SILVER LININGS AND RAINBOWS - episode 9

SILVER LININGS AND RAINBOWS  10-12 hour days on computers, raining season, and COVID spreading kept us mostly indoors this week.  We are very grateful when we have a chance to try to catch the sunrise in the morning.  One of the benefits of the rainy season is that cloudy morning mists added with a rising sun produces lots of rainbows.  They only last a few minutes so we feel blessed when they happen while we are walking.  The best one got away on a morning when neither of us took a phone with us and there was a full bow rainbow over the bay - no pictures of that one. We were studying about Noah this week.  So it is extra fun to see the bow that God set in the cloud as a token of the covenant he made with Noah and "every living creature of all flesh" when He brings the clouds.
